Hello again

Hello. I'm sorry that I haven't been on as much as I should.
Praise יהוה that today is a beautiful day!
Let them praise the Name of יהוה,
For His Name alone is exalted,
His splendour is above the earth and heavens.
Psalms 148:13
My birthday was 2 weeks ago, and I got an i-pod!
I'm having fun studying out the Torah portions as we reach them.
“יהוה bless you and guard you;
 יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;
יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
Shalom.

Pesach is here!

Happy Passover, everyone!

Tonight is the night when we celebrate YHVH'S love in passing over the firstborn of Yisra'el in  Mitsrayim, and when the blood of Yahshua passed over us to save us from hell.

Why should we celebrate Pesach?
Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, saying,
‘On the tenth day of this month each one of them
is to take for himself a lamb,
according to the house of his father,
 a lamb for a household.
And if the household is too small for the lamb,
let him and his neighbour next to his house take it
according to the number of the beings,
according to each man’s need you
make your count for the lamb.
Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male.
Take it from the sheep or from the goats.
And you shall keep it until
the fourteenth day of the same month.
Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl
shall kill it between the evenings.
‘And they shall take some of the blood
and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel
of the houses where they eat it.
‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night,
roasted in fire – with unleavened bread
and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water,
but roasted in fire, its head with its legs
and its inward parts.
‘And do not leave of it until morning,
and what remains of it until morning
you are to burn with fire.
And this is how you eat it: your loins girded,
 your sandals on your feet,
and your staff in your hand.
And you shall eat it in haste.
It is the Passover of יהוה
And this day shall become to you a remembrance.
And you shall observe it as a festival to יהוה
throughout your generations –
observe it as a festival, an everlasting law."
Shemot 12:3-11;14

We celebrate Passover because YHVH commands us to.

"Didn't Yahshua throw away the torah?"
Do not think that I came
to destroy the Torah or the Prophets.
I did not come to destroy but to complete.
“For truly, I say to you,
till the heaven and the earth pass away,
one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass
from the Torah till all be done.
 “Whoever, then, breaks
one of the least of these commands,
and teaches men so, shall be called least
in the reign of the heavens;
but whoever does and teaches them,
 he shall be called great
in the reign of the heavens.
Matthew 5:17-19

We do this feast because it reminds us of YHVH'S love and Yahshua dying for us.
The last Passover lamb.
Shalom.

Happenings on Chanukah

I went golfing with my dad yesterday(well, kinda, he was my caddy.) I played from the white tees for the first time, with new clubs(kind of new, they were dad's.)
After I went golfing we went to our Messianic group's Chanukah celebration, where we all lighted our own mini  ( and big) menorahs. after that we listened as one of us read the story of the Maccabees. After that we all played dreidels. I hope that you all have a good rest of the day. Shalom.

It is Shabbat!

It's Shabbat today!
I'm glad that today is Shabbat
because I get to learn more of the Torah.

  “Remember the Sabbath day,
to set it apart.
  “Six days you labour,
and shall do all your work,
but the seventh day is a Sabbath of יהוה your Elohim.
You do not do any work
  you, nor your son,
nor your daughter,
nor your male servant,
nor your female servant,
nor your cattle,
nor your stranger who is within your gates.
“For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
and rested the seventh day.
Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
Exodus 20:8-11

Have a blessed Shabbat!

Giving Thanks

My sister Ally is coming home from collage tomorrow!
This is certainly a time to thank and to praise YHVH!

  Oh, give thanks to יהוה,
for He is good!
Because His kindness is everlasting
.   Let Yisra’ĕl now say,
“His kindness is everlasting.”
Let the house of Aharon now say,
“His kindness is everlasting.”
Let those who fear יהוה now say,
“His kindness is everlasting.”
  I called on Yah in distress;
Yah answered me in a broad place.
  יהוה is on my side;
I do not fear what man does to me!
  יהוה is for me among those helping me;
Therefore I look on those hating me.
It is better to take refuge in יהוה
Than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in יהוה
Than to trust in princes.

Psalms 118:1-9

Paganism: How it Affects Our World - The Names of the Planets

The names of the planets are also named after gods and goddesses.

Mercury:
The first planet from the Sun.
Mercury was the Roman messenger of the gods.
His Greek name was Hermes.

Venus:
The second planet from the Sun.
Venus was the Roman goddess of beauty and love.
Her Greek name was Aphrodite.

Mars:
The fourth planet from the Sun.
Mars was the Roman god of war.
The month March is also named after him.

Jupiter:
The fifth planet  from the Sun.
Jupiter was the king of the gods in Roman mythology.
His Greek name was Zeus.

Saturn:
The sixth planet from the Sun.
Saturn was the Roman god of agriculture.
The day Saturday is also named after him.

Uranus:
The seventh planet from the Sun.
Uranus came from the Greek name Urani,
One of the seven Muses,
where we get our term "Music" from.

Neptune:
The eighth planet from the Sun.
Neptune was the Roman god of the ocean.
His Greek name was Poseidon.

Pluto:
The ninth planet from the Sun.
Pluto was the Roman god of the dead
His Greek name was Hades.

We need to be careful,
for the devil will try to deceive us
and has been doing so from the beginning.

  Do not be led astray:
Elohim is not mocked,
for whatever a man sows,
that he shall also reap.
Galatians 6:7

Starting Over...

Hello there! I have not posted in a while,
so I'm going to post now.
We are starting the Torah cycle all over again,
and I'm glad because there is so much more to learn!

O יהוה, Your kindness has filled the earth;
Teach me Your laws.
You have done good to Your servant, O יהוה,
According to Your word.
Teach me good sense and knowledge,
For I have trusted in Your commands.
Before I was afflicted I myself was going astray,
But now I have guarded Your word.
  You are good, and do good;
Teach me Your laws.
The proud have forged a lie against me,
With all my heart I observe Your orders.
Their heart has become like fat,
Without feeling;
I have delighted in Your Torah.
It was good for me that I was afflicted,
That I might learn Your laws.
The Torah of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
Your hands have made me and formed me;
Make me understand,
that I might learn Your commands
- Tehillim (Psalms) 119:64-73

Let me never forget Your orders,
For by them You have given me life.
- Tehillim (Psalms) 119:93

O how I love Your Torah!
It is my study all day long.
Tehillim (Psalms) 119:97

May we obey and walk in YHVH'S Torah!!
May we want to learn about HIM!!!!
Shalom!
